(P) I is for Idea by Marcia Schonberg
This book is all about inventions, using the alphabet. The book starts out with what the inventions is then puts in into a little poem. It then has about three paragraphs of in depth information on the inventions. Examples of the inventions are aluminum, dynamite, microwave, Peanut Butter, and Zipper. I like it because all of these inventions children can relate to and then learn about who, when., and where and why they were invented.

(P) LMNO Peas By Keith Baker
This picture book is about a bunch of different peas, playing in the ABC’s. It has pictures of each of the words that go with each letter and it has the peas doing that activity. .I like this book as well for an alphabet book, because it isn’t just an alphabet book. It is also a book asking the reader and the listeners, who they are as a person. They learned who the peas were through the alphabet, but then they have to think about who they are.
(P) Shiver Me Letters: A Pirates ABC By June Sobel
The book is a picture book with pirate Alligator and pirate crew mates; a Pig, a Cat, a Rabbit, and a Mouse. The Alligator pirate announces that the letter R is not enough, playing with what pirate usually say. He exclaims that other letters will make them tough and they need to sail to capture the ABC’s. The book rhymes as is goes through the alphabet capturing each letter. This book is a great book for children who are learning the alphabet.
